You read an advertisement in China Daily, in which a foreign company is looking for a secretary. Write a letter to the personnel department of the company telling them about

1) your educational background,
2) your work experience

Write your letter in no less than 100 words. Write it neatly on ANSWER SHEET 2.
Do not sign your own name at the end of the letter; use “Li Ming” instead.
Do not write the address.  (10 points)

51．一、审题谋篇

本题要求写一封求职信。求职信顾名思义就是要谋求对方的某个工作职位，其目的就是通过信件把自己推销给用人单位。求职信的内容要求简明扼要，同时突出重点，以便达到引起人们注意的效果。通常情况下，一封求职信需要包含以下几部分内容：第一部分，向对方说明应聘的职位，同时说明自己所获得有关该招聘的信息的途径，或者信息来源。第二部分，介绍自身条件、包括学习受教育情况、个人获得的荣誉、工作经历和个人性格等方面内容，重点突出自己符合对方所提供职位的优势所在。第三部分，委婉向对方提出希望，希望对方尽量早日回复，或者安排面试时间等。

指导语中给出了信息的来源（an advertisement in China Daily），应聘的职位（a secretary in a foreign company），该信的内容应说明（1）你的教育背景（2）工作经历。

二、参考范文

Dear Sir or Madam,

In answer to your advertisement for a secretary in China Daily, I am writing to apply for the position.

I am a fourth-year English major with a minor in Economics, and will be graduating in May. As is required, I have a good command of English and basic knowledge in the field of business. In addition, I gained much experience in participating in 2004 Beijing International Conference as assistant.

I am interested in being a secretary and will be honored to work in your company, which is a highly respected one. With my qualification and ability, I am convinced that I will make a satisfactory contribution toward the development of your company. I am looking forward to an interview at your convenience. If any additional information is needed, please let me know. Thank you for your consideration.
