Directions:
　　Study the following bar chart carefully and write an essay in which you should
　　1) describe the bar chart,
　　2) state the meaning and
　　3) put forward your position.

As is apparently revealed in the bar chart above, when choosing their ideal jobs, most university students pay a close attention to steadiness and high salary ,pouring cold water on other factors like interest and performance. This phenomenon is surely thought-provoking and worth discussing among the general public.

I think this phenomenon can be explained by the following reasons. To begin with, the current university students are reluctant to take challenges and lack of the spirit of innovation, which leads them to make the steadiness as their top priority. Secondly, they neglect the significance of self-developmet, which should always be at the center of a job,for a job without scope for initiative ,it is definitely lackluster .At last but not least, psychology plays a major role when university students are contemplating their furture ideal jobs. They are not very confident about themselves and intimidated by the possible job insecurity .

In my point of view, self-development is paramount when choosing a job. Of course we can’t deny the charm of money,but what we need most is to always improve our ability rather than just been a money-oriented person. Nor can we contest the importance of steadiness,but if we couldn’t promote ourselves and make self-development as our top priority, then we would never get a steady job in this hyper-competitive society.
