When it comes to the ideal vocational criteria for the college students, opinions differ from person to person. As we can see clearly from the bar chart, 96% of them take the stability of a job very seriously while only 26% take that whether they can make great achievements in certain job or not into consideration. Moreover, 77% of the students hold that a high salary is indispensable and another 65% expect space for self-development in an ideal job. Half of the students insist that an ideal job should meet their interests.

The reasons, as far as I'm concerned, can be traced back to the deeply-ingrained thought that stability is the top priority when choosing jobs and that's what our parents have always been instilling in our mind. Probably we Chinese people are yet to be accustomed to ups and downs in jobs. People would like to seek security from their jobs both financially and psychologically.

As for me, an ideal job should, first and foremost, interest me from which I can get a lot of gratification. Then the enthusiasm will contribute to my effectiveness and efficiency, which as a result will benefit me in all aspects definitely.
