第五章短文写作（大作文）

第一节命题分析

短文写作是考研沿用多年的写作测试题型。根据大纲要求，考试题型主要有主题句作文、提纲作文、规定情景作文、图表作文和图画作文几大类。与应用文写作相比，短文写作对考生英语水平的要求更高：考生要在大约三十分钟内写出160~200字的作文，要求主题突出，层次分明，文字通顺，连贯性好，没有或基本没有语法错误。这是对考生英语综合运用能力的考查。在考试过程中，考生要在有限的时间内对写作要求进行详细解读，精心构思，拟出提纲，最后修改定稿，这样才能写出一篇令人满意的文章。

短文写作中考生应注意文章是否切题，论据是否充分；在展开过程中应注意各段内容是否围绕主题句展开，有无与主题无关的句子内容；句子之间、段落之间的连接要自然，逻辑关系要清晰；句子结构要保持完整，人称、时态、动词变化等要保持一致，单词拼写、大小写，标点要保证无误。

第二节常考文体（上）

在考研短文写作中，最常考查的文体是议论文。但事实上纯粹的议论文是不存在的，议论中也有叙述、描写或说明等，它们往往交叉使用，相辅相成，但主体仍是一种文体为主，其他为辅。下面我们分别对这四种文体予以简单说明：

一、议论文

议论文又称为“论述文”、“政论文”或“论说文”，是书面语中用得最广泛的一种文体。它的功能是解释、说明、阐明(explain)或说明、陈述(state)等。

（一）议论文的特点

1用词比较规范、严谨。指议论文倾向于使用正式语体的词语，一般不用俚俗语。

2议论文句子结构比较复杂，句型变化及扩展样式较多。由于议论文旨在解析思想、开发论点、辩明事理和展开论争，因此文章内容往往比较复杂，逻辑性强，层次感也较强。

Health In the past few years，there has been an increasing awareness of the importance of health.With more possibilities to enjoy life and more money in their pockets，people are taking whatever possible measures as they see fit to stay healthy or to improve their health.Thus，young parents see to it that children take in proper amount of vitamins；older people spend money generously on socalled nutrients from bittertasting herbs to uglylooking insects；girls keep a wary look on the diet and boys make sure that they spend some time each day doing exercise to build their muscles.

But mental health is equally important.Living in an age of keen competition，we should be prepared to withstand the high pressure inevitable in the modern society.As the old saying goes，a sound mind in a sound body，one should have a correct personal philosophy and a cheerful disposition philosophy as well as good physical health to ensure a happy and meaningful life.

As we are taking special care of our physical health，we should also pay enough attention to our mental health.We need to acquire new knowledge everyday so as to enrich our mind，maintain a broad outlook on life and be optimistic about the future even in serious trouble，for only those who hold a positive attitude towards life can overcome all kinds of difficulties.(228 words)
