3. If you are part of the group which you are addressing,you will be in a position to know the experiences and problems which are common to all of you and it’ll be appropriate for you to make a passing remark about the inedible canteen food or the chairman's notorious bad taste in ties.

4. With other audiences you mustn't attempt to cut in with humor as they will resent an outsider making disparaging remarks about their canteen or their chairman. You will be on safer ground if you stick to scapegoats like the Post Office or the telephone system.
【译文】 而对于其他听众，你就不能试图贸然讲这种幽默，因为他们也许不喜欢外人出言中伤他们的餐厅或总裁。如果你还是拿邮局或电信部门这样的替罪羊开玩笑，那你会更安全些。

5. If you feel awkward being humorous,you must practice so that it becomes more natural. Include a few casual and apparently off-the-cuff remarks which you can deliver in a relaxed and unforced manner.
【译文】 如果你在幽默时感到别扭，那你必须加以练习，使你的幽默变得更自然。加入一些随意、看上去是即兴发挥的话语，可以用轻松而不做作的方式说出来。
【析句】 第一句是一个条件句。第二句是一个祈使句。谓语是include，宾语是remarks，后面有一个定语从句修饰它。
