2014考研英语（一）真题小作文点评
2014考研英语已落下帷幕，小作文（应用文）无论是体裁还是内容都与往年持平，而且继2005年改革以来书信一直是英语（一）小作文考查之重，除2010年以外是第九次考查书信格式。那么同学们在看到今年题目要求时，书信传统三段论写法（引言-写信目的；中心部分-陈述要点；结尾-重申重点或致谢或敦促等）要马上映入眼帘。
今年考查书信中的建议信（suggestions on how to improve students' physical condition）也在2007（suggestions to improve the service of university library）和2009（suggestions on restricting the use of plastic bags）年考到过。研读真题一直是英语类考试的一大法宝，考生如果认真分析甚至熟背过往年小作文的真题范文，那么对于建议信中的万能句型一定记忆犹新。
以2007年为例，沪江英语《考研英语（一）强化班》中夏徛荣老师在讲义中提供一篇范文：
Dear Sir or Madam,
I, as a senior student of the university, am writing here to provide some advice to improve the service in the library.
I can find no better suggestions other than the following two. To begin with, why not provide heater during winter time? It is always so cold in the library that many students catch cold when studying there. Besides, please pay more attention to the order at the reading room. So many disturbances such as talking aloud, mobile phone rings and the like make it difficult for us to concentrate on study. Under such circumstances, I find that I am falling behind on my studies.
It will be grateful if you could take my suggestions seriously. I am looking forward to your early reply.

通过这一范文我们不难发现其中一些句型我们在写建议信时就能直接套用。除此之外还有：
I would like to convey in this letter my frank suggestions to improve… to you.
In the first place…
In the second place…
Last but not the least…
It is my sincere belief that if you do sth. as I have suggested above, it will not only benefit the students, but also do good to the university faculty.
所以其实背范文不是说要一字不差地背诵，而是通过这种方式掌握这一类体裁作文经常涉及的句式和结构。
使用这些万能句式相当于已经把一封建议信的骨架构造起来了，那么接下来要做的就是往里填内容。今年的核心内容是“改善学生身体状况的方法”，考研英语作文一贯的命题原则是贴近生活，相信大家对于这一方面的建议或方法都有话可讲，梳理出两三条，再简单配上理由就可以了。
